The 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 is a track sports car that was designed to meet the ever-growing demands of regular road use. Porsche sports car which made its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show last year features a 435-horsepower, six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that can rev up to 8,400 rpm. The new car features shortened gear ratios which combined with the high-revving engine pushes the GT3 to an acceleration of 60mph from zero in just 4 seconds. Not only that the engine is fuel efficient and provides consistent torque.
The GT3 sports coupe boasts of a standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) that provides the sports car firmer damping allowing for superior performance and comfort when being driven on the tracks or on uneven roads or terrain, giving it a definite advantage over the Porsche Carrera. The anti-roll bars remain similar to the Carrera but the PASM gives it a wider control range. This allows the GT3 to speed up even on bumpy roads and improves turning stability. The responsive steering and the six-speed manual transmission provide precise control and stellar response. Aside from the acceleration, the GT3 has better handling than the Carrera.
The reduced weight also contributes to the GT3´s handling. The GT3 sports car has been designed for maximum performance with the lower spoiler increasing the down force and speed. The airflow rates were also improved with the throttle valve enlarged to 82 centimeters and a low-backpressure exhaust system.
With the GT3, Porsche once again proves that "there is no substitute". The sleek design, lowered spoiler, 19-inch alloy sport wheels, the 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 is performance and beauty combined. The front has large air inlets while the back has adjustable wings that can be used to improve down force. It was enhanced with traction-slip and drag-torque control functions that can also be disabled.
Safety features of this sports car include: anti-lock brakes with cross-drilled discs. High-performance ceramic brakes perfect for weekend track-outings are optional. Front, side-impact and side curtain-type airbags are standard. The new car also features electronic stability system. The sports car´s interiors are made of high-caliber materials providing comfort for regular road use. Aside from comfort, the GT3 interior is a study in elegance with owners having a choice whether to do the seatbelts and seat stitching in red. The bucket seats feature Alcantara system and the shifter knobs and steering wheels have alcantara trimmings. The fierce Porsche sports car is enhanced with a premium sound system, cruise control, keyless entry and improved sound insulation material. All primary controls are located within easy reach at the center panel.
This stunning ride is well worth every penny, with a price tag of just over US$ 100,000, the GT3 sports car provides enthusiasts with a deal like no other. The Porsche 911 GT3 offers reliability, practicality, performance, and composure in one tight and sleek package. Aside from the price, the biggest selling point of the Gt3 is more involved and pleasurable driving experience that sports car enthusiasts can expect from it.
